Combining NASA-proven
winglet technology with sailings Americas
Cup-proven hydrodynamics principles, the
Wavegrinder (TM) surfboard fin (patent
no. 7,244,157) helps surfers surf faster, for
longer, catch more waves, and maneuver
better than conventional fins. If
winglets work for NASA and Boeing, why not
for you?
Existing surfboard fin technology
has evolved little. But the
hydrodynamically engineered CAD-designed, USA-made
Wavegrinder fin uses a proven NACA foil,
combined with proven NASA winglets, in a
high-aspect-ratio, low-sweepback angle,
short-root profile, having a
small-surface-area shape that creates high
lift with low drag over a wide range of
angles of attack.
Currently configured to
fit standard center fin boxes on longboard
surfboards in a one or three-fin setup, design adaptations are in the
works for longboard side fins, for
shortboard surfboard thruster fins, and for
both windsurfers and kiteboards.
Stop losing great waves
by a half-stroke! Turn without stalling and
losing waves!
Made with bulletproof GE
Lexan polycarbonate, the same material as
used in bulletproof glass. |
